Senior Oracle Cloud ERP Financials Consultant (including Ledgers)

To work as a Senior Oracle Cloud Finance Functional Consultant in our growing Team. You will already have a minimum of 10 years of Oracle ERP Financials experience, including at least 5 full-cycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations. This is a Client-facing, hands-on role requiring someone who has led key parts of the solution design and delivery.

You’ll be working with dynamic Clients across industries, helping them transform their Finance operations through Oracle Cloud. The role will be ideal for someone who combines deep Functional knowledge with leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for taking a Functional Consultant role in Oracle ERP Cloud Projects
Providing functional leadership across key modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
Engaging with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into Oracle Cloud solutions
Owning key solution components and lead Functional workstreams
Liaising with stakeholders, Delivery Teams, Support Teams, 3^rd-parties, both external and internal
Establishing strong and effective relationships with Client Project Teams
Shaping ERP assignments that are aimed at achieving demonstrable business benefit and value-add
Agreeing objectives, outputs, milestones and timescales with the Project Delivery Manager and Client
Conducting impact analysis and discovery sessions with clients to determine process pain points and diagnose how ERP Cloud can be enhanced to provide value and Return on Investment
Reviewing quarterly patch release documentation and conducting impact analysis
Creating well-structured and accurate deliverables for application configuration, data migration, Testing Plans and other artifacts to ensure shared understanding and facilitate knowledge transfer
Designing, building, Testing and delivering Oracle ERP Cloud Finance
Supporting Projects through user Testing and go-live and the transition of deliverables to other Client with 3ed party Support Teams
Coordinating with other Consultants’ Project/Assignment Delivery within a wider Programme
Assisting the Symatrix Sales Team in Pre-Sales activities and tender responses

Your Experience

Essential:

MUST BE UK-BASED; the role cannot be carried-out from outside the UK
MUST have eligibility for UK Government Security Clearance at SC Level (please familiarise yourself with the eligibility requirements prior to applying)
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oracle Financials, with at least 5 full Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
Proven experience leading parts of a solution - either a full workstream, sub-phase, or end-to-end in smaller engagements.
Strong hands-on experience with modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, CM with thorough understanding of Intercompany and Taxes in Oracle Cloud.
Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and reporting.
Excellent Client-facing and Stakeholder Management skills.
Experience in supporting File-Based Data Import (FBDI) data migration activities.
Well organised and structured in approach.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent Client Management skills.
Willingness to travel and be away from home.

Desirable:

Proven full lifecycle Oracle ERP implementation experience, delivering successful solutions to medium and large enterprise Clients.
Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – preferred.
Experience across Applications Security, workflow approvals, and configuration of approval hierarchies.
Exposure to Project Accounting, Procurement and Expense modules.
Strong commercial awareness.
Experience working alongside other Oracle Cloud pillars, including:
- Oracle HCM (Core HR & Payroll)
- Oracle CX / Service Cloud
- Oracle EPM (Planning & Budgeting)
Hands-on knowledge of modern Oracle tools and features:
- Oracle Digital Assistant
- Oracle Guided Learning
- BI/reporting tools such as OTBI and BI Publisher
Involvement in pre-sales activities, solutioning, and product demos.
Experience contributing to RFP/ITT responses, including solution design and effort estimation.
Familiarity with Oracle Redwood UX and its adoption in Client environments.
